Shadowrocket Docs · Official Manual / App Store purchase verification

Shadowrocket Download from the App Store

  • Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID: 932747118
  • $2.99 one-time purchase
  • For iPhone and iPad

A paid app with a one-time purchase, available only on the App Store. The US price is $2.99 for reference; check the App Store listing for prices by storefront, system requirements, and purchase eligibility.

The app purchase does not include a service plan. You’ll need your own subscription or server details to connect.

STORE / Availability

Storefront and Apple ID region

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. App Store availability is primarily determined by the country or region of the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases, not your device’s location, system language, or keyboard language. Changing your device language to English does not change the storefront used for purchases.

The button on this page opens Shadowrocket’s App Store product page. The link uses the US storefront path, but opening it won’t change your account region or guarantee that you can make a purchase. Once in the App Store, check the storefront, price, and messages shown to you. If you see a message that the app isn’t available in your country or region, check your account before trying to buy a similarly named search result.

Check your current App Store region

  1. Open Settings on your device and tap your Apple ID account at the top.
  2. Go to Media & Purchases, select View Account, and complete any verification steps.
  3. Check Country/Region. To review the option to change it, open Country/Region, then select Change Country or Region and read the information shown.

The wording of these options may vary slightly by system language and version. Check which account is used for Media & Purchases, especially on a device where the purchase account has changed. Seeing the same name at the top of Settings does not confirm that the App Store is using the original purchase account.

Changing your country or region may affect your account balance, active subscriptions, payment methods, and other account requirements. Follow the instructions shown by Apple; being able to open the region selection page does not mean the change can be completed. Before proceeding, check your account status and the requirements of the destination storefront. A region change is not guaranteed to succeed.

VERIFY / Three checks

How to identify the genuine Shadowrocket app

Search results may include apps with similar names or icons. Open the product page and check the developer name, official icon, and app ID rather than relying on a nickname or search ranking. Once all three match, review compatibility and purchase information.

Developer name

Shadow Launch Technology Limited

Check the full name in the developer or seller information on the product page; don’t verify it by matching just one word.

Official icon

White background with a blue-purple outlined rocket

Compare it with the official icon in this site’s header. The icon can help identify the app, but also check the developer and app ID.

App ID

932747118

The product page URL should contain id932747118. The storefront path may vary, but the app ID should remain the same.

Start by opening the product page using the App Store button on this page. Confirm the app is named Shadowrocket, then check the developer or seller information below. To verify the URL, use the App Store’s share option and check the app ID in the product page link. If the name looks similar but the developer doesn’t match, or the ID is different, stop and return to the correct product page.

Price alone doesn’t verify that an app is genuine. Prices are shown in each storefront’s local currency, and the displayed amount and taxes may vary. Verify the app first, then confirm the amount shown in your storefront. Refer to the App Store page for the app’s version details and update history; don’t rely on search snippets for current information.

Shadowrocket is a closed-source commercial app. Verify it through its App Store listing and purchase history. Future app updates are also delivered through the App Store. Keeping your purchase history available can help you confirm the original account when reinstalling or moving to a new device.

IPHONE / First install

Get started on iPhone

On the iPhone you plan to use, open the App Store product page and expand the compatibility details to check your device and system requirements. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. After confirming your account region, payment method, and purchase price, follow the store prompts to buy and download the app. Once downloaded, open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen or App Library.

Opening the app for the first time and making your first connection are separate steps. Seeing Home doesn’t mean server setup is complete or that a working connection has been established. Get your own subscription or server details ready and import them using the appropriate method. Then check the selected entry and Global Routing. To add server details, start with Add Server; see the setup tutorial for the steps.

VPN configuration permission for your first connection

When you first turn on a connection, the system may ask for permission to add a VPN configuration. This is required for the app to establish a system network connection; it isn’t a request to purchase the app again. Confirm that the request was initiated by Shadowrocket, which you just opened, then follow the system prompts. You may be asked for your device passcode or to authenticate.

If you cancel permission for now, return to the app to check your settings, then try connecting again when you’re ready. The VPN status in Settings indicates the configuration or connection state, but doesn’t replace a connectivity test. After granting permission, check your own server details, selected policy, and access to the intended destination. Don’t rely on the status icon alone to confirm that everything is configured correctly.

If you’ve purchased the app but haven’t installed it yet, look for it in the Purchased section of your App Store account. If the product page still shows a price, check the original purchase account and history before taking further steps. Don’t buy the app again just to make your first connection; troubleshoot purchase status and connection settings separately.

IPAD / Same purchase account

iPad and other Apple devices

Shadowrocket supports iPhone and iPad. After purchasing once with the same Apple ID, you can install it from the App Store on compatible devices. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase eligibility. On iPad, first confirm that Media & Purchases is signed in with the original purchase account, then redownload from the product page or Purchased section.

The iPad has a different screen layout from iPhone, so lists and settings may appear in different places. Look for interface labels such as Home, Config, and Settings rather than matching screen coordinates. Before importing, make sure you’re on the right page, then continue with your own subscription or server details.

App purchase history and on-device configuration are separate. Buying the app on iPhone doesn’t mean your iPad has the same server entries, rule files, or connection state. After installing, check that your information is complete. If needed, reimport your own data, check the selected Config and Global Routing, then test the connection.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing also includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. If you plan to use the app on one of these devices, check the same product page on that device and review its compatibility details. Check the App Store listing for system requirements, device eligibility, and whether Universal Purchase applies. The App Store remains the only place to get the app.

Input methods and system permission flows may differ between devices. The first-connection steps on this page focus on iPhone and iPad, so don’t assume button locations are the same on other devices. If the purchase or redownload option doesn’t appear on your target device, check its compatibility details and account status first.

RESTORE / Purchase history

Restore after reinstalling or changing devices

If you switch to a new device or reinstall the app after deleting it, first find your original purchase. Sign in with the Apple ID used to buy Shadowrocket, then search for it under App Store → Account → Purchased. Depending on your system, the app list may be under Apps or My Apps. If you find the purchase, you can usually download the app again at no extra cost.

  1. On the new device, check that Media & Purchases is using the same account you used to buy the app.
  2. Open Purchased in your App Store account, find Shadowrocket, and verify the developer.
  3. Tap the redownload option and wait for the App Store to finish downloading the app before opening it.
  4. Import your own subscription or server details, check your configuration, and complete any required VPN authorization again.

If you can’t find the app in the list, check the original purchase account, purchase history, and whether the purchase is hidden. After restoring a device backup, it’s also worth checking the account used for Media & Purchases. If the product page still shows a price, don’t buy it again right away. First confirm that the original transaction was completed and that the current account has the purchase record.

Restoring the app doesn’t restore all configuration

The App Store restores your entitlement to download the app; it doesn’t guarantee that every server setting, rule, or piece of history on your device will be restored. Before switching devices, save any configuration you need to keep and store your existing subscription details securely. Transfer information containing connection credentials only between devices and storage locations you trust. Don’t post full links in screenshots or support requests.

After importing on your new device, check that all entries are present, then review the selected server and Global Routing. Your first connection may still require system authorization; this is separate from whether you’ve purchased the app. If the app opens normally but the connection fails, troubleshoot the connection rather than continuing to work on purchase restoration.

Family Sharing availability, eligible members, and other purchase terms are as stated on the App Store listing. Don’t assume Shadowrocket has the same eligibility as other apps. When restoring, use your own purchase history to verify access.

PRICE / What the purchase covers

One-time app purchase and service costs

Shadowrocket is a paid app with a one-time purchase; there’s no monthly app fee. The US price is $2.99 for reference, while other storefronts show local currency. Check the App Store listing for the actual price, payment confirmation, and purchase eligibility. Review the amount shown by the store before paying; the reference price on this page is not a substitute for the final price.

The app purchase does not include a service plan

Buying the app gives you the right to use the client; it doesn’t create a server connection or change the validity period of an existing subscription. You’ll need to provide your own subscription or server details and import them to connect. App costs and the costs of any existing service are separate; check each one independently.

This is the official Shadowrocket website and manual. It does not provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions. The manual covers importing information you already have, understanding rules, and checking connections. If Home has no usable entries after you purchase the app, import your own information; the purchase itself doesn’t add connection details.

After importing, check two separate statuses: your App Store purchase and update status, and the availability of your existing server or subscription. The app updating successfully doesn’t mean a server will connect, and a server timeout doesn’t mean your purchase has expired. Troubleshooting these separately can help avoid duplicate payments and unnecessary reinstalls.

Get future app updates through the App Store. Depending on your device settings, updates may install automatically or you can check manually. Read the App Store page for update details; there’s no need to track version numbers on this page. If a connection fails, first check the latency test results, protocol settings, and system time, then consult the configuration reference.

Download and purchase FAQ

Use the App Store message to identify whether the issue involves your account, device compatibility, purchase restoration, or connection setup after installation.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. The country or region for your Apple ID determines what you can see in the App Store. Check Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region, then review the product page. Your device language does not determine your storefront.

What if the product page appears but the download won’t complete?

Note the exact App Store message, then check your account region, payment status, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection. Check the App Store page for system requirements. Follow the store’s instructions for billing or account restrictions.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new iPhone?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, then find Shadowrocket under App Store → Account → Purchased. Existing purchases can usually be downloaded again at no extra cost. If a price appears, check the purchase account and history before buying again. Purchase eligibility is subject to the App Store listing.

Can I install it on my iPad if I bought it for iPhone?

Shadowrocket supports iPhone and iPad. After purchasing with the same Apple ID, you can redownload it from the App Store on a compatible iPad. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase eligibility. After installing, check your own subscription or server details and current configuration.

Can I install it on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing on your target device. System requirements, device compatibility, and eligibility for Universal Purchase are as shown on the App Store page. The App Store remains the only place to get the app.

Where should I start if the app opens in English?

Start by identifying Home, Config, and Settings. If you already have server details, begin with Add Server; if you have a subscription, import it using the tutorial. In Global Routing, Config, Proxy, and Direct are the available modes. Use the English interface labels to follow the steps, then make and test your first connection.
